My name is Emily and this is my travel blog for my study abroad session in Spain!
I am a junior at the University of Iowa, and am currently majoring in Journalism, getting a writing certificate, and minoring in Spanish. All of that means I am heavily into writing, creatively and objectively, and I love language. Communication is a beautiful thing in all different languages and methods; getting our ideas across to one another has always been important. My plans in Spain will include both learning to communicate more effectively in Spanish, while also continuing my journalism education by taking reporting and writing classes.
I came into college knowing exactly what I wanted to do and how I wanted to do it, but I am realizing more and more that there are so many paths I can choose to go down, so right now I’m choosing travel. I want to see the world and experience everything I can before I sit my butt down and do adult things like pick a career and buy a house. Spain is just the beginning!
